Our Challenge: Wilfrid Laurier University’s web site consisted of a number of disconnected sites, of varying designs, with unorganized content. Our team's goal was to try to bring all of this together under one new unified design.
Our Solution: We developed three design concepts that aligned with Laurier’s current print branding. The University coordinated usability testing, and with the results, we selected and revised the final concept. Our team integrated the new site interface with the BDS content management system that authenticated users through the University’s LDAP system, allowing staff to manage all of the content in their site areas.
Our Achievements: Staff and faculty who had not previously considered publishing web content, due to technological barriers, have quickly learned to use the content management system. We also liked going above and beyond on this project to completely customize the content management tools to meet the needs of this unique project.
